People often ask whether a commercial scaffold is just a bigger version of a residential one. The short answer is no — the scale changes almost everything about how the job is planned.
Access and logistics
On a home, we are usually working around a driveway, a garden and the neighbours. On a commercial site, we are coordinating with other trades, managing public footpaths, and often erecting in stages as the build progresses.
Loading and duty
Commercial scaffolds frequently carry heavier loads — bricklayers, blockwork, materials storage — so they are designed to a higher duty rating with more ties and bracing.
What stays the same
Safety is non-negotiable on both. Every scaffold we build, large or small, is tagged, inspected and compliant.
